“For about a year I had been experiencing pain in my right hip joint. Over time the pain spread down my leg gradually affecting my ability to walk upstairs or on an incline. I tried stretching, physio, acupuncture. Everything helped to a point, but nothing got rid of the pain. I am a long distance walker and was contemplating doing another full marathon but I knew I couldn't do the number of kilometers required to do the necessary training.
